The Swig™ Filter Straw: Your Survival Companion

Swig™ filter straw

Swig™ filter straw

39.00 EUR

The Swig™ filter straw filters non-potable water using an electro-adsorption process and combats bacteria, viruses, and other contaminants found in water sources.

It's ideal for emergency and survival situations (loss of water bottle, hiking, travel or natural disasters).

It uses the same NASA-derived filtration media as ÖKO water bottles.

The SWIG works by suction and can be stored anywhere given its size and weight (survival bag, backpack, handbag, travel bag or in an easily accessible place in the event of natural disasters).

Key Features of the Swig™ Ultra-Filtration Straw

Swig Emergency Filtration Straw

Lightweight and compact design

You can pull it right out of your pocket and rehydrate whenever you need to.

Demonstration of the Swig Filter Straw for Non-Potable River Water

Filtration technology developed by NASA and adapted for non-potable water

NASA-developed electro-adsorption technology that generates a positive charge field upon contact with water, combined with a mechanical filtration system featuring 1.2-micron pores.
This technology is identical to the one used in our filter bottle, which has been a hit since its launch in 2018.

Swig Filter Straw for Hiking, Trekking, and Survival

Ideal backup filtration system

The Swig™ straw removes bacteria, viruses, pesticide residues, and other contaminants found in non-potable outdoor water sources (rivers, lakes, fountains, etc.). It’s your backup solution for natural disasters (floods, water outages, devastating hurricanes).

You can safely drink non-potable water from outdoor sources while waiting for the drinking water supply to be restored, for example.

FAQ

How long does the Swig™ filter straw last?

SWIG straws do not have an expiration date. You can keep them for many years and use them only when necessary.

It’s effective and can be used as many times as you like, as long as you haven’t reached the 760-liter filtration limit. It’s a valuable product that we all hope to be able to keep until the end of our days…

In which countries is ÖKO EUROPE's filtration sufficient?

ÖKO Europe's filtration system is effective and adequate in many countries.

You can find the list inthe detailed table here.

There are now more than 120 countries.

Can you drink untreated water from lakes, fountains, rivers, or puddles using the ÖKO EUROPE filter straw?

Yes, during natural disasters (standing water). Rivers, lakes, fountains, non-potable tap water, streams, etc. By cleaning the mouthpiece, it can be shared among people in the same location. While less hygienic than our ÖKO water bottle (which works by pressure), it nevertheless helps keep you alive—which is the strength of this straw.
