The legal basis for processing your data in connection with all analysis tools and Internet technologies is our legitimate interest in analyzing website activity and the usage or browsing behavior of ÖKO EUROPE users, as well as our interest and the interest of third parties in displaying personalized advertisements tailored to the interests of users.

6-1 Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies," which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will generally be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. We have activated an IP anonymization feature on this website; in this regard, your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states that are parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States, where it is shortened.

Google uses this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics and shortened before storage is not combined with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. Furthermore, you can prevent the transmission of the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=fr.

6-2 Retargeting

This website uses retargeting technologies operated by other providers. Retargeting allows us to target advertising on our partners' websites to users who have already shown an interest in our store and our products. Studies show that personalized advertising based on user interests is more interesting to users than advertising that does not have such a personal connection. Advertising is placed within the framework of retargeting on the basis of an analysis of the user's previous behavior using cookies. It goes without saying that no personal data is stored in this process and that the use of retargeting technology complies with the applicable data protection regulations. If you do not agree to the display of this form of advertising, you can deactivate cookies and/or delete existing cookies via your Internet browser settings. To do this, follow the instructions described below in section 9. In addition, you can prevent cookie-based analysis with future effect by saving an opt-out cookie on your device in accordance with the following information.

7/ SOCIAL PLUGINS

The legal basis for processing your data in connection with social plugins is the performance of the contract or, where applicable, your consent.

When you visit a page that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a connection to Facebook or Google and the content is downloaded from these pages. Your visit to this website may therefore be tracked by Facebook and Google, even if you do not actively use the social plugin function. If you have a Facebook or Google account, you can use such a social plugin and share information with your friends. TomorrowDog has no influence on the content of the plugins and the transmission of information.

In this case, we ensure prior to the transfer that the recipient either has an adequate level of data protection (e.g. through self-certification of the recipient for the EU-US Privacy Shield) EU-US Privacy Shield") or the European Union's standard contractual clauses with the recipient) or sufficient authorization from our users.

You can obtain an overview of the recipients in third countries from us, as well as a copy of the specific provisions agreed upon to ensure an adequate level of data protection. In this regard, we refer you to the information in section 3-4.

We will then stop processing your data, unless we can prove – in accordance with legal requirements – compelling legitimate grounds for continuing the processing that take precedence over your rights.
