What is the L2+ filter?

Originally designed for industrial use, the L2+ filter features a reinforced membrane capable of withstanding very high pressures.
Tighter pores: even finer filtration, effectively removing microorganisms and particles.
Adjusted flow rate: instead of 35 seconds to filter 1 liter of water, allow 45 to 50 seconds—a slight compromise that remains entirely acceptable for field and/or survival use.
Extreme reliability: specially designed for situations where water quality is uncertain.
👉 The L2+ filter is your ideal ally for travel, hiking, survival, or any activity in unfamiliar surroundings.

Essential tips for successful filtration when traveling or in survival situations

1
Chemical treatment
When traveling to a region where the water quality is questionable, consider bringing water treatment tablets (such as Micropur).
Then filter this water with your ÖKO water bottle to remove the taste of chlorine and make it more pleasant to drink.

2
Imperative hygiene
Poorly filtered water may not come from the filter... but from your actions:
1- Never immerse the cap or pipette in water.
2-Do not put the pipette in your mouth.
3-Always wash your hands before handling.

3
Protect your filters
Bring one or more replacement filters with you: they weigh only 47 g.
Pre-filter very dirty water with a filter sock or cloth: this protects the 400 pores of your L2 or L2+ filter.

4
Complete with an L3
For expeditions in areas where water is particularly risky or unknown, opt for enhanced safety with the L3 ÖKO filter.
It perfectly complements an L2 or L2+ filter in extreme situations. Weighing only 58 grams, it fits in any bag.
Being able to drink in an emergency is good.
It's better to be able to drink it safely.
